Stephen Fuller Austin (1793-1836 But not at the Alamo.  Was The Republic Texas 1st Secretary of State. Died of Pneumonia in December 1836.

Audie Leon Murphy June 20, 1924- May 28, 1971. Born near Kingston, Texas Audie was the most decorated Soldier in World War II. A Texan doin' what Texans do! He received every decoration for valor that this country had to offer plus 5 decorations from France & Belgium.

Admiral Chester William Nimitz led the Allied naval forces to victory in the Pacific in World War II. He was born Feb 24, 1885, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Anna Nimitz. He died on February 20, 1966, of complications following a stroke.

Willie Nelson born in 1933 in the little Texas town of ABOTT.  Willie has become & is country music legend!
George Strait -May 18, 1952, Poteet, Texas According to Billboard Monitor, George is second only to Mariah Carey as radio's most played artist during the past five years.
